Travel Themed Weddings

A couple of months from now, Hubby and I will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. Feeling a little nostalgic, I wondered what our wedding would be like if we had it today.  Perhaps it would be  ‘travel themed’ to  reflect something that we enjoy doing the most together. So I looked around for travel themed weddings and saw these…

These wonderful wedding invites feature maps.

These placeholders were made from old maps. How adorable!

Meanwhile, the table setting in this wedding reception evokes old-world travel.

On the other hand, a tropical theme would probably suit us better.

This may be too colorful for Hubby, though.  He’d probably prefer a more vintage look.

Of course, given a chance to do it again, I wouldn’t change a single thing.  I can still remember that hot day in May.  For some reason, my gown almost didn’t make it to my hotel, arriving 2 hours before the wedding. And because of all the frenzy,  I left my bouquet in my hotel room.   So I used the three bouquets meant for the maids of honor, who, incidentally, got lost on the way to the church and missed the entire bridal march!  To top it all off, barely two hours into the garden reception, it suddenly rained prompting us to move the whole affair indoors. But despite the seeming chaos, that day was still magical.  In the end, it’s true what they say about weddings. Travel-themed or not,  it IS and will always be  be the most special day of our life as a couple.
