PinayTraveller Recommends: Spanish and French Lessons in Ateneo

For those of you who are planning to go to Europe or Latin America in the next few months, why not study  basic Spanish and / or French to prepare for your trip?  If you live within Quezon City, you may want to check out these language classes offered by the Ateneo de Manila University Department of Modern Languages.  (And just so you know, I will be taking Spanish 1. So please say “Hola!” when you see me.)

COURSES ON:  BASIC FRENCH LANGUAGE COURSE 1 AND 2 AND BASIC SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSE 1 AND 2

The Department of Modern Languages is offering the following courses for outsiders and Ateneo employees:

• Basic French Language Course 1
• Basic French Language Course 2
• Basic Spanish Language Course 1
• Basic Spanish Language Course 2

The courses will teach participants communicative competence in French and Spanish in practical situations and will introduce them to French and Spanish life and culture.

The courses aim to enable learners to communicate orally in practical situations and purpose, develop reading and listening skills, reinforce communicative skills through writing, and expose them to French and Spanish customs, places and people.
SCHEDULE:

Basic French Language Course 1

Time:  1:00-4:00 pm

From 7 February to18 April 2015 (10 Saturdays)

Basic French Language Course 2

Time: 9:00-12:00 noon

From 7 February to 18 April 2015 (10 Saturdays)

Basic Spanish Language Course 1

Time:  1:00-4:00 pm

From 14 February to 25 April 2015 (10 Saturdays)

Basic Spanish Language Course 2

Time: 9:00-12:00 noon

From 14 February to 25 April 2015 (10 Saturdays)

All classes will be held in the Department of Modern Languages Building at the Ateneo de Manila University in Katipunan.

 

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT:

Payment is Php 5,000 (Php 4,500 for Ateneo employees)

If paying in check, please make it payable to Ateneo de Manila University. (Refund for cancellation before classes start will be 50% of the fee paid. There will be no more refund after the start of the course except when the course is dissolved for insufficient number of registrants.)
