Madeira, a Portuguese archipelago near the Canary Islands, is one of the places I dream of travelling to someday. I’ve seen a lot of features about it and always, I’d be fascinated by its beauty. But I’ve almost forgotten all about it until I saw this short film. Beautifully shot by Christian Mülhauser, it’s a side of Madeira I’ve never seen before.

I’m so glad I got tickets to Madeira a couple of days ago. It was one of the fastest decisions of my life right after I saw the price. Lisbon seems to be a great starting point, with its connections with Madeira and Acores, which are next on my “to go” list.
I’m so envious! Madeira and the Acores seem to be so far away from me right now (literally and figuratively). I hope you have fun! And do bring back wonderful photos!:)
Oh I definitely will! Especially after watching the video you provided, I’m positive about it!
Happy travels!
Hi Pauline,
I was looking for info on the 99 bus as I’ll be going to do a visa run in a couple of days and came accross your blog. Thanks a million for the info!
The funny thing is that we have similar names, a couple of my friends call me Paulino and Lo and Behold, I”m from Madeira Island. Where are you in the world??
Ciao 4 now

Ola Paulo!
Hey, thanks for dropping by. Glad the 99 bus post was of help to you.
I’m in the Philippines! You should not miss this part of the world if you’re in Asia! Glad to know you’re Portuguese and from Madeira to boot. That’s one of the places I’d really love to see for myself someday. I’ve been to Lisbon, though. And loved it! And yes, they call me Paulina there, whether I liked it or not.:)
Good luck, good health and happy travels!
Pauline
