This Weekend: 2 Amazing Fairs in Manila

If you have no plans of gallivanting out of town this weekend, why not visit two of the most amazing fairs in Manila?  Ladies and gents, it’s time for MIBF and Negros Trade Fair! Wohoo!     The Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) is something I look forward to each year.  It’s a bibliophile’s heaven on earth! And I get to enjoy it because my company (Jesuit Communications Foundation) is a regular exhibitor.     Enjoy up to 75% discount on books, school supplies and just about anything! I even saw a booth selling water filters yesterday. Albergus is catering the event, serving really good meals for 150 bucks.…

    Madrid Fusión Manila

Just got this in the mail: “We are writing to invite you to an intimate and “by invitation only” tapas dinner with some of the participating Spanish Chefs for the Madrid Fusion Manila 2015. The objective of this gathering is to welcome the Spanish Chefs and acquaint you a little bit on the series of gastronomic events and presentation for Madrid Fusion Manila 2015 and the event’s affinity to Madrid, Spain’s capital city.” Isn’t it wonderful? This weekend is your last chance to catch the Citi-Rustan’s French Film Festival at the Shangri-La Plaza Shang Cineplex. Seventeen of France’s most-loved film feats await cinephiles this year, which includes a seven-film retrospect on director-extraordinaire Olivier Assayas, one of the first European directors to pay attention to Asian films; and an eight-film treat from L’Institut Francais. Source. Here’s this weekend’s schedule: The best part about this is it’s free!  But seats are on a first come, first served basis.  Call 633-7851 local 113 for more information.
