1. Fond of painting or drawing when travelling? Why not join Urban Sketchers— a community of visual artists from more than 30 countries all over the world whose main goal is to facilitate the sharing of location drawings and exchange of comments and ideas among its members.
Artists draw or paint on the spot in their sketchpads and moleskines.
I’ve always wanted to do this but alas, I don’t have the patience nor the time (most of the time). Thank God for my trusty cameras! And thank God, too, for these artists who willingly share their work to the rest of the world.
2. I’m such a sucker for multi-purpose gadgets. So this clever 3-in-one travel accessory from quirky.com made my day today.
Aptly named Weigh To Go, this little cutie is an ID tag, built-in lock and digital scale rolled into one!
Their website says it best: “With Weigh to Go, you can know before you stow.” Hahahahaha!
3. Saving the best for last, this one is for the Hannibal Lecter in all of us. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the sleep mask by Sruli Recht.
I don’t really know much about Sruli. Frankly, I’m just thankful that someone has finally designed a sleep mask that will guarantee peaceful sleep. Imagine wearing this on a plane. I don’t think your seatmate would dare disturb you. Unless he wants to be eaten with some fava beans and a nice chianti. -PT
