Pasalubong from the UK: Chococo The Purbeck Chocolate Co.

 

Last week, some friends of my sis-in-law D and her hubby S, came over to the Philippines for some R&R.  One of them gave us a box of chocolate from Chococo The Purbeck Chocolate Co. And I was in heaven!

 

 

Now, one of the things that I never tire of is opening a box of chocolates. To quote Forrest Gump: “you never know what you’re gonna get.”

At first, I didn’t know what to expect.  Until I read this…

 

 

Handmade by a husband and wife team from Dorset? Hmmm… the box suddenly screamed “Open me!  Now!”  So I did.  Inside was a list of the goodies awaiting my undivided attention…

 

And when I finally removed what seemed like the 25th layer of tissue paper (I’m kidding, of course, but it sure felt that way)… voila!  A visual feast!

 

This heart even has silver leaf…

 

 

After what I think was a considerable amount of time contemplating on what to nibble first, I decided to eat my heart out (ngek, corny!:))

 

 

As the milky-chocolatey goodness melted in my mouth, it soon became clear to me why Chococo has been winning awards.

 

 

Hubby said these looked too good to eat, and unselfishly gave up his share. Awww… thanks, hubby!  So now, I have these beautiful handmade goodies all to myself. What should I eat next?
