Aside from the many landmarks and must-visit spots, I always make it a point to check out stationery shops whenever I’m on a trip. Not only do I get my stationery fix, I also get to buy pasalubong for friends back home. So while The Hubby was making elaborate plans to feast on Malay, Chinese and Indian food before our Singapore trip, I was frantically googling “where to shop for stationery in Singapore” on my laptop. I knew from previous trips that the Lion City had some of the finest stationery shops in Asia and I couldn’t wait to pay them a visit! But with only an afternoon to spare, I decided to go to a place where I could cover as many shops as time would allow. So the most logical choice was Raffles City over at Northbridge Road where I managed to visit three shops.
Kikki K
I thought I had lost interest in organizers some years ago but that was before I stumbled upon the YouTube channel of the Swedish/Ausie brand Kikki K. I was just mesmerized by the uniqueness and variety of their products. So it was naturally on top of my list.
//I want everything on this shelf.
//Oh look at all these lovely accessories!
//Aren’t these organizing folders the best?
The shop in Raffles City is quite small so the stock was not as many as I had hoped. I still managed to buy a few small items and particularly enjoyed browsing through their inventory.
Find Kikki K at Raffles City, B1-22, 252 North Bridge Road, Singapore, 179103.
PaperMart
I almost lost it at PaperMart. It’s a stationery junkie’s paradise! They have everything from all kinds of papers to a wide variety of tools and materials for paper crafting.
It is a bit overwhelming when you first set foot inside the store. But because everything is carefully organized, it’s easy to navigate through the various pull out and vertical sliding shelves.
//The roll out vertical shelves hide more treasures than you may think!
//Lovely stickers and stationery embellishments from Heidi Swapp. I want them all!
If you’re visiting Paper Mart, prepare for a bit of a crowd especially on weekends.
Find PaperMart at Raffles City, B1-27, 252 North Bridge Road, Singapore 179103.
OTHER SHOPS
Aside from these 2 shops, I went to NBC Stationery (Raffles City, #B1-22, 252 North Bridge Road, Singapore 179103) where I was able to buy Maruman loose leaf fillers for my old planner. You can also find an assortment of Japanese stationery here, as well as Midory products. Sorry I wasn’t able to take photos as the shop was so crowded when I was there.
Ikea (there are three branches in Singapore) also has a small line of stationery, particularly label stickers and notepads. Please take note that these items are tucked away in the children’s supplies section so it may take a little while to find them.
