If you have been following this blog for a while, then you must have read about my e-passport (mis)adventures.
The truth is, I was panicking for good reason. Last February, I was able to book 2 roundtrip tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a measly Php9,000 (about $195) via Cebu Pacific. It was a deal too good to be ignored so I quickly snapped up the tickets, fully aware that I needed to renew my passport. Well, you can read what happened next here.
To make the long story short, I got my passport just in time for the trip. Hubby and I made a list of things that we “absolutely have to do in KL” and things that we “can do if we had extra time”.
So here are the two lists:
Things that we absolutely have to do in KL:
- Commute like the locals.
- Go up the Petronas Twin Towers.
- Eat Nando’s Peri-Peri Chicken.
- Eat Ramley Burger.
- Visit Batu Caves.
- Eat streetfood.
- Go to Ikea.
- Ride the HOHO Tourist Bus.
- Eat Char Kway Teow.
- Go to Malaka.
- Drink lots of kopi and teh tahrik.
Things that we can do if we had extra time:
- Go to the FIAT dealership so hubby can test-drive look at the new Fiat 500.
- Ride the Eye on Malaysia in Melaka.
- Take the zipline down the Merdeka Tower. (Yeah, right!)
I know, I know… half of the list is made up of what we wanted to eat. But believe me, eating in Malaysia is a very important affair and deserves the same attention as doing certain activities like going up the steep steps of the Batu Caves. So in the next few days, I will be filling you in on what we’ve managed to cross out from our list. To be continued.
