Jesuit Communications Foundation, Inc. in cooperation with PLDT and UNILAB proudly presents “Mga Kuwento Mula sa Lupang Pangako”, a back-to-back Holy Week presentation featuring two documentaries shot on location in Israel.
For centuries, the Holy Land has drawn millions of pilgrims. It is an important place not only to Christians but to Jews and Muslims alike. Each year, thousands of Filipino Catholics flock to the Holy Land to relive the life of Christ – His passion, death, and Resurrection.
In “Via Lucis: Sa Mga Yapak ni Hesus”, join a group of Filipino pilgrims as they follow the footsteps of Christ in “Via Lucis” or “The Way of the Light”, a new devotion which was introduced into the Catholic Church in 2003.
Narrated by Ms. Cheche Lazaro, the documentary features unique stories of faith as pilgrims follow a new spirituality based on the lively, fresh, hopeful, and happy spirituality of the Risen Lord that traces His way from the empty tomb to the Upper Room where the Holy Spirit descended to His Apostles.

In “Ang Makabagong Disipulo”, take a deeper look into the life and mission of His Excellency Most Reverend Luis Antonio Gokim Tagle– from his childhood to his journey of faith in service of God and the Church.
His appointment as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Manila comes at the most opportune time as the Philippine Catholic Church faces growing secularization and controversies such as the RH Bill.
Hosted by Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo, the documentary takes a look at Archbishop Tagle’s simple beginnings in Imus, Cavite and how he, being blessed with the gift for evangelization, has become a symbol of change and renewal for the Catholic faithful. Today, he is perhaps one of the most popular Church personalities on TV and in social networking sites with over 90,000 fans on Facebook. Thus, he is said to bring Catholicism into the modern age.
