Pinay Traveller Recommends is a weekly round-up of interesting sites, photos, stories and/or events found around the net.
I consider myself koboy–that is, I can get really down and dirty when I need to. And when it comes to sleeping arrangements, I have no particular needs or requirements. I can sleep on a thin mattress, on a banig or on a nylon hammock. Once, I slept sitting up with a female friend and 12 fishermen aboard a small boat. On a fishing expedition. In the middle of a storm. To this day I still can’t imagine how I’ve managed to do that without going overboard.
Having said that, I must admit that I am a big sucker for luxurious accommodations. I don’t mind crisp, 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton beddings and hypo-allergenic down pillows on the four-poster bed of my private suite. In a boutique hotel. Perched on a hill overlooking the Côte d’Azur.
I also don’t mind coordinated wall paper, headboard and bedroom furniture, just as long as I have fresh flowers everyday.
I can eat a simple breakfast of toast, coffee and fresh fruit juice served on my private balcony overlooking the mediterranean.
And I don’t really have a particular preference when it comes to decor. Although a bottle of champagne will certainly make up for a monotonous color scheme.
As for the bathroom? One white porcelain bathtub will do!
And if it’s not too much to ask, can I have a view of a perfect Mediterranean dusk, please?
The beautiful 5-star boutique hotel you see here is Château Eza located in Eze Village, French Riviera, Southern France. For more photos and information, click here.
