Just received a pleasant surprise today. Some months back, I was interviewed by a writer from Zen Health Magazine. The magazine was doing an article about women solo travellers and I was one of those they wanted to feature. So long story short, the issue was finally printed and today, I got my copy! Cool, huh? One of the things that I talked about in the article is the fact that a lot of women become a bit smug when they travel. Unfortunately, this becomes their downfall. Trust me, I’ve been there. Here’s what I have to say about it:
“When you travel solo, you should never be overconfident. Keep a tiny amount of fear in your heart. That fear is actually your gut guiding you. That’s your survival instict. You must not let it overpower you, but you must not push the feeling aside, either.”
If you want to read more of my words of wisdom, grab a copy of Zen Health Magazine now! Or visit their FB page.
Note: Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to send a photo of myself while on the road. So no, that’s not me pictured above but the legendary Apo Whang-Od. 🙂
